Loveland Ski Area

types of skiing

Loveland Ski Area, high up on the Continental Divide, is one of Colorado's top ski and snowboard spots. The resort horseshoes around the Eisenhower Tunnel on the east side of the Divide, offering skiers and riders a huge choice of terrain to explore.

The Ridge

Loveland's expert and advanced skiing and snowboarding is accessed high up on the mountain by Chair 9. Here you will find "The Ridge", a large selection of open alpine bowls featuring steeps, bumps, and gentle slopes.

The Ridge also features a large number of steep and challenging gullies that will challenge anyone. These gullies can be traversed depending on the conditions.

Basin

The basin hosts the majority Loveland’s skiing and snowboard terrain. The basin is home to 6 of the 8 lifts, and 85% of the 1,800 acres of skiable terrain.

This is Loveland's larger area. This area includes all of the Ski Schools, Restaurants, Bars, Sports Shops, Rental Shops, and Bars.

It's also home to the largest apres ski bar on the mountain, The Rathskeller. It's right next to the Loveland Deli. This is the ideal spot for grabbing a hot cocoa and a beer after a hard day on the mountain.

Ski school is available to help beginners get started in the sport. The Loveland Valley is separate from the Basin. It is a great place for beginners to learn their first turns away of more experienced skiers and snowboarders.

Loveland is an excellent choice for skiers and riders, and is a local favorite. It's an excellent choice for families with young children as the prices are often lower than other popular areas.

Spillway, Lift 2 and Spillway have seen significant snowmaking progress over the last few nights. They should be ready to open the bottom half by this weekend.

Opening Day was a huge success! It was a great experience to be on the mountain and to see so many people taking advantage of the new trails.

Loveland saw a few more inches of snow fall this week. Things are looking up. Mountain Ops will be meeting tomorrow to get more information about terrain openings. Stay tuned!

Another storm is anticipated this weekend. We also hope to get snow in the upper mountain. We are currently snowmaking on 240 acres. We hope to be done by December 1.

This is Loveland’s first snowfall in quite a while.

It was Loveland’s first day on the slopes. It was the perfect way for the season to begin with 18 inches of powder at the base.

FAQ

These are the things that you must remember when traveling.

You will find yourself in situations that leave you with very little time for making decisions when you travel. You should be ready to improvise.

You could be stuck there for hours, days and even weeks. If you plan ahead you can have food and water, shelter, and a place for sleep. But if you haven't, you may have to improvise.

In these situations, you will probably need to rely upon what you know best. This means that you will need to make quick decisions based on your intuition and experience.

Sometimes you don't have a choice. You might find yourself in an area without cell service, out of gas or robbed. These situations will require you to quickly adapt to the situation.

It is important to remain calm, keep your eyes on the prize and be decisive. Don't panic. Instead, keep your eyes on the things you can control.

You can choose which direction you want to go if you're lost among the woods. If you are hungry, you can eat mushrooms or berries. Rainwater or melting snow are good options if you're feeling thirsty.

If you are tired, you can take a break. Wrap up warmly if it's cold. If you get wet, you can put on clothes. You'll feel happier if you remain positive, no matter what your decision.

What amount of luggage should I bring?

The length and type of trip will dictate how much luggage to take. If you are flying, your hand luggage is limited to less than 20kg. If you're traveling by bus or train, you'll need more space.

You will receive a form with all the details about your flight when you arrive at airport. This form will ask for information such as your baggage weight and if you require assistance to check them in.

This should be checked before you leave home. You could end up spending hours waiting for your luggage to be checked while others check theirs.

Because you never know what could happen, it is better to travel light. For instance, if your bag is lost or stolen, you won’t have any clothes.

Which countries have the best cuisine?

Each country has its own cuisine. It's difficult to determine which countries offer the best food.

But we can show you which countries serve the best food!

What should you take on vacation?

It is important to plan what you will do during your vacation. You don't just need to pack clothes. Also, think about where and how long your stay there.

Consider what type of activities you'd like to take part in. You might want to go scuba diving if your destination is exotic. You might also want to participate in local festivals and events if you plan to stay longer.

You should let the people who are going to be caring for you know if you have any medical issues.

What is the average time it takes to fly between two countries.

The distance between the airports as well as the weather conditions can affect the time it takes to fly.

Average flight time is about 3 hours.

The actual flying time depends on many factors like the airline, aircraft type and airport delays.

What snacks should I bring to the plane?

There are many choices of snacks that you can bring along when you travel. It is a good idea to bring along any food you love while you travel.

If you are a chocolate lover, you may want to bring some chocolates along with other snacks like crisps, nuts, and biscuits.

You might consider packing cheese or crackers if you are looking for something savory.

It's also worth considering what kind of beverages you'd prefer to have aboard. Perhaps you like hot or cold beverages?

No matter what type of snack you bring, ensure that they are packed securely and safely.

You won't have to worry about your items getting damaged while traveling.

Are you concerned about what you might lose when you travel?

Yes, I often forget stuff. This is most common on short trips. Luckily, I always have everything I need with me so I never run out.

For instance, I always carry my passport with me. And I always check whether I have enough money when I buy tickets.

I also keep my phone charged. Also, I have a small bag that I store my other items in.
